Specialty
Nature Studies
Mary Ann will lead the students on nature walks through the trails of the Barn. Guided by her expertise and love of the arts, the students will learn to observe and take in the beauty that surrounds this historical structure. Students will learn to develop an awareness of the natural world through nature studies as they interface with wildflowers, pond life, bamboo gardens, and various trees that are native to South Jersey. Mary Ann’s emphasis on nature study will teach children the names of various birds, flowers and types of clouds. The students will apply this knowledge and study of nature back in the studio to create art inspired by nature.
